Easy DIY autumn wreath

Happy fall y’all!

Although I’m always sad to say goodbye to summer, it’s fun to switch up the decor around the house.  I decided to make an easy DIY autumn wreath as the final touch for my front door makeover.

When I painted my front door, I “needed” a new fall wreath that would coordinate with the bright yellow color.  This easy wreath was the solution.

A DIY wreath is definitely the way to go if you’re like me and you want to be able to change your front door décor with minimal financial investment.  This DIY autumn wreaFall wreathth cost less than $30 for the materials – much less than the completed wreaths you can buy at the store!

I’ve learned that floral garlands create very easy, lovely wreaths.  I headed to Hobby Lobby and found a six-foot garland that has the perfect fall colors to coordinate with my front door.  And with my 40 percent off coupon from the Hobby Lobby Web site, the price was right.

While I was there, I also bought a couple of seasonal floral picks to fill in any bare areas as needed.

The garland curls easily into a circle, and it takes just a few minutes to adjust the wreath to the size you want for your door.  I secured the ends of the garland by looping them around and twisting them gently into place.

When I fluffed out the flowers, I only needed one of the picks to fill in and add a pop of yellow.  I tied a cute ribbon to my wreath for hanging it on the front door.

This easy DIY autumn wreath added the perfect fall touch for my new and improved front door!

Happy crafting if you make your own fall wreath!
