Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask for rosacea

In my continuing quest to deal with rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis, I’ve been having some success trying new products recently.  After I found that vitamin C serum helped reduce the redness from my rosacea, I was eager to find another product that may help with the breakouts.

Since Dead Sea salt soap has been a great help to my skin, I was happy to have the opportunity to try a complementary sample of Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask through BrandBacker.  I’m definitely a believer in the benefits of products from the Dead Sea!

The company says the Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask pulls out toxins and unclogs pores so skin can breathe and rejuvenate naturally.  It is 100% natural and free of parabens, with no added fragrance or color.  The Dead Sea mud in this mask has minerals essential for skin health, along with other nutrients like aloe vera and vitamin C to prevent overdrying.  The 100% satisfaction guarantee makes it clear that the company stands by the effectiveness of this product.

Between the product description and the positive reviews on Amazon, I couldn’t wait for my sample to arrive!

As soon as I had some time to test it out, I washed my face and applied the Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask in a light layer over my face.  It had a nice consistency that made the mud easy to smooth into place.

The mud has a mild earthy scent and a dark olive green color.  I looked like I was applying camouflage paint for an army mission!

The instructions say to leave the mask on 10-20 minutes until it is dry.  As it was drying, the mask was comfortable on my skin the whole time.  It did not become uncomfortably tight on my skin like some masks I’ve tried in the past.

I left it on for about 15 minutes, then rinsed it off with lukewarm water.  As I was rinsing the mud off my face, I noticed how incredibly soft my skin felt.  After towel drying, I was amazed at the soft, smooth texture of my skin!

Although my skin felt great, it was a bit red.  That was a bummer because my rosacea redness was better after using vitamin C serum, and I was afraid it could be flaring up again.  I followed the mask with a gentle moisturizer.  Since I used the mask in the morning and had places to go, I then applied my makeup as usual to cover over the red tint to my skin.

Thankfully my rosacea did not flare up from using this product.  Yay! In fact, I think this Dead Sea mask is helping my skin improve.

The redness I experienced was a short-term reaction, probably due to the mask drawing out impurities from my skin.  While this mud mask did not provide the miracle cure I always want on the first application, it did help my skin texture from the first use, and it seems to be slowly helping control my rosacea breakouts with each use as well.

I’ve used this Dead Sea mud mask on my face four times now – twice a week for two weeks.  (The box says to use it once a week or as needed.)  It has not been drying to my skin at all.  My skin has felt very nourished from the first time I used this mask.

Overall, I’m very pleased with my results using Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask for rosacea! It has improved the look and feel of my skin. I’ll be using every drop from this bottle and then getting more!
