I love trying new hair products.  It’s a little way to add some variety to life.

My hair tends to be fine and flat, so I’m always on the lookout for products that will help my hair look full and healthy.  And I always make sure the new products are free of sulfates.

According to Women’s Health magazine, sulfates in hair products can potentially dry out hair and strip out color.  Sulfate-free products work just as well for me, so I’m happy to ditch the harsh chemicals!

I’ve been learning more recently about the potential dangers of phthalates and parabens in products, so I’m now trying to avoid those as well.

Recently I jumped at the chance to try a new shampoo, conditioner, and root thickening spray.  I received these products free from HASK via BrandBacker to facilitate my honest review.

The HASK mint almond oil thickening hair care line has products that are free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors.  I love that HASK uses natural ingredients without potentially harmful chemicals.

The HASK mint almond oil thickening hair care collection uses natural almond oil to help increase body and volume while adding nourishing shine to hair – since almond oil is known for its high content of omega fatty acids, vitamin E and magnesium.  The products also have Bio3 Thickening Complex (a specialty formula blend) and peppermint oil.

I headed over the to HASK website to learn more about the Bio3 Thickening Complex.  I mean, the name sounded good for thin hair like mine, but I wondered what was in it.  Turns out, it has three key ingredients from plants: ginseng, gleditschia, and white nettle.  HASK uses it to restore volume, fortify, and invigorate hair.

While I was on the HASK site, they mentioned that HASK is used on more film and TV sets than any other hair care brand.  That seems significant, since quality beauty products are essential when styling for image-driven media.

My review of the HASK mint almond oil thickening hair care collection

The products in the HASK mint almond oil collection have a nice, light mint scent that is pleasant.  This collection would be ideal for someone who is sensitive to scents, because the scent is so gentle.  It smells fresh and clean.

I found that the shampoo cleaned my hair well, and the conditioner did a good job detangling my hair.  Together, they left my hair soft and fresh with a nice amount of volume.

I tried the shampoo and conditioner without the root thickening spray first, and then later applied the root thickening spray with the rest of the products.  I saw an extra boost of volume when I added the root thickening spray with the shampoo and conditioner.

Overall, I was pleased with my results using the HASK mint almond shampoo, conditioner, and root thickening spray.  I will continue to use these products to add volume to my hair without harsh chemicals.

My review of the OZ Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Creme

The OZ Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Creme is a light, white, odorless creme that smooths onto the delicate eye area easily.  I gently pat just a little all around my eyes and eyelids, and it absorbs quickly.

After applying, my skin feels moisturized without any oily residue from the product.  I have not experienced any stinging, tingling, or any other negative effects from the creme.

My regular makeup smooths on well over the eye creme.  While the product boasts good results on dark circles, I have to admit that I don’t struggle as much in that area so I can’t speak to its effectiveness there.  I’m applying the eye creme proactively for the anti-aging properties and look forward to good results from starting early to take care of this area of the skin that tends to show aging.

This product feels great and moisturizes well.  I love that it is 99% natural and made in the USA.
